Modern Tichborne Case
TN “Claimants,” Mr. Archibald Marshall ‘almost gives a modern Tichborno case. His. hero succeedsi to tho baronetcy on the death of his ' grandfather, when an uncle, supposed j to be dead, turns up to claim the pro-] perty. The case is tried and as in the Tichborne case several who knew the. uncle supported the impostor, and his fraud is only proved at the last j moment by dramatic evidence. M.'. '■ Marshall tells a good story, for thercader is not quite sure about the uncle —though he may wish for his discomfiture. It. is one of the best “identity” stories of recent years.
