FRENCH TRAIN DISASTER
NEGLIGENCE ALLEGED
(Received January 4,2 p.m ) PARIS, Jan. 3. As a sequel to the Lagny tram disaster, charges of imprudence, inefficiency, negligence, and non-obscvvance of regulations involving loss of life have been preferred against Merlin, the chief engineer, Martelot, the assistant engineer, Montignault, the workshop foreman, Mougjeot, the technical inspector, Pietremont, the assistant foreman, and Caron, inspecting mechanic, while the driver and fireman of the Strasbourg express are charged with culpable negligence. '
