MUSSOLINI’S ROLE RUSSIAN NEGOTIATIONS IMPORTANT DISCUSSIONS (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Brass Assn.) (Received Dee. 5, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 4. The. Times Rome correspondent says that Signor Mussolini and M. Litviuoll had conversations to-day. and cordially discussed Ilaliati-Russian relations. It was agreed to ratify the friendship
pact. The disarmament question was reviewed, but apparently Russia is not prepared to stampede into the Italian fold. The King of Italy gave M. Litvin oil 15 minutes’ audience, indicating the importance Italy attaches to the conversations.
Tt is expected that as n result ol the Mussolini-LitvinolV conversations, Hi,, strained Russian German relations will improve, as Signor Mussolini agreed to act. as mediator for Herr (filler. Russian-.lapanese relations also were discussed, but a decision was not reached.
A communique states that all questions likely to disturb world peace were considered, and there was a complete identity of the views of Russia and Italy. The Fascist Grand Council will meet to-morrow to discuss Italy s relations with the League and her war debt to America. The proceedings are strictly secret.
