SHIPMENT I'XVII ENGLAND (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. A shipment of 50,00011. of Southland silver beech timber, cut in the western district and at Catiins, will he shipped from the Bluff to day by the Palceha for London. The timber is in sizes suitable for the motor-body buildui" industry. This is the first, of a series of orders obtained as a result of the visit of Mr. R. Rant-Imp and Mr. A. R. Entriean to England a year ago. Before the end of the year, two or three further shipments will he made, bringing the total, with the present shipment, up to about £oo,oooft. The trade is so far in the experimental stage, hut its expansion in the near future to a business of large proportions is hoped for.
