FAREWELL APPEARANCE
LEADER OF THE COUNCIL RETURNING TO LONDON (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Leader of the Legislative Council, Sir James L. Parr, will make his farewell appearance in the Chamber at its meeting this afternoon prior to his early departure for London to take up the appointment there as High Commissioner for New Zealand. At this sitting he will be accorded an official farewell by his fellow members of the Upper House. Sir James Parr will be succeeded by the lion. K. Masters as Leader.
