The Lyons silk industry is greatly concerned over the strained ecbiiomie relations with Britain, as a quarter hf France’s total silk production each year is sold to Britain, the value of tße exports being £5,000,000. The suggested British surtax will result in the closing down of factories and increased unemployment. > *
