STOCK YARDS STRIKE
TROUBLE AT CHICAGO HIGILLR PAY DEMANDED (Klee. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (Received Nov. 28. 3 p.m.) CHICAGO, Nov. 27. Operations at tlie Union stock yards to-day were paralysed by a strike of the Livestock Handlers’ Union. There is no open market, and the Department of Agriculture issued no quotations. It is estimated that 7000 men are striking. Tiie strikers demand the return oi 1919 wages. Many are reported to be gettiii"- weekly cheques of only £1 10s to £2 10s. Forty 1 lii'uisa nil hogs, 16,000 cattle, and 17,000 sheep already are, awaiting unloading. No violence is reported.
