TASMANIA’S PREMIER
HOBART, Nov. 17. The Premier, Mr. .1. C. Mcl’liee, today officially announced his intention to resign. He said that, his health during the last .12 months made it imperative that he should relinquish the responsibilities of Ministerial office. The Premier’s decision has caused a stir in political circles. It is pointed out that Mr. McPhee is the only Premier in Australia to survive a general election since the depression.
