SAMOAN SENTENCES
MAU CHIEFS ASSEMBLE NELSON TRIAL TO-MORROW (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) APIA, Nov. 24. Following the conviction and sentence of the eight Mau chiefs, a large number, of natives journeyed to Apia, The police ordered their dispersal within 24 hours, the period expiring at 10 a.m. on Friday. Early on Friday morning, Fawmuina and others met the Administrator with' apparently satisfactory results. The crowds are now dispersing from Yaimoso.
A selected committee of the Mau remains to watch the Nelson trial, which commences on Tuesday'.
Mr Nelson left New Zealand on May i) on liis return to Samoa after a term of banishment, which had lasted five years. It is alleged that they were collecting unlawful moneys and engaging in the general activities of the Man.
