JOHNNY McKAY’S PLANS SEEKING OXLEY MATCH Nothing lias been arranged yet regarding a match between Johnny McKay, tho Gisborne lightweight, and Ted Oxley, tho New Zealand professional lightweight champion. Johnny McKay plans to go to Australia shortly, and wishes to fight Oxley for his title, lor the winning of this would mean much to the matches McKay would get on tho other side of tho Tasman. Oxley has intimated that he is willing to meet McKay under any association on condition that McKay puts up a sidebet of “nothing under £SO and up to £500.” McKay is not willing to comply with these terms, but is suggesting that instead of the 60-40 division of the purse, tho winner should take the lot, and that there should bo no side-bet. Oxley’s reply is awaited.
