MORERE SPRINGS
IMPROVEMENTS URGED MR. COLEMAN’S APPEAL (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. That it was time improvements were carried out at Morere to bring it into line with tourist resorts in other parts was a point strongly urged by Mr. D. W. Coleman (Lab., Gisborne) in the House yesterday. Thero was a spot ,at Morere, he said, which could bo made into a fine swimming pool with very little labor and a small expenditure bn material. Mr. W. J. Poison (Coal., Stratford): There is not enough water; you could jolly well drink it all. “We are not like you,” retorted Mr. Coleman, amid laughter. He declared that Gisborne and the East Coast generally was the Cinderella of the Dominion. -It was barred from railways which other people had, and its tourist resorts were neglected. Attention should also ho given to To Puia, on which expenditure would be amply repaid.
