CLAIM FAILS
SOLICITOR & BOOKMAKERS MELBOURNE, Nov. 10. After four hours’ deliberation today, the jury returned a verdict for the defendants on all counts in the case in which Newton .Tames Francis, solicitor, claimed from eight Melbourne bookmakers damages amounting to £20,000. Francis alleged that the action of the defendants in attempting to have him struck olf the roll of barristers and solicitors was malicious and unjustifiable.
