LOYALTY TO “KINO” KOEOKI Tributes arc being paid by many hundreds of visiting Maoris to “King” Koroki, the fifth of the line of Maori “kings,” who was recently recognised as leader of his people following the death of his father, To, Rata Mahuta to Wlicrowhero. There were, consultations on subjects concerning the Tainui canoe group of tribes, of which the Ngati-Mahuta tribe, the “king’s” clan, is a member. Policy matters referring to tribes throughout New Zealand will be discussed.
