RETURNS FOR OCTOBER LITTLE VARIATION SHOWN (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Figures for the overseas trade of New Zealand for October, 1988, show that exports were valued at £2,878,855, and imports at £1,854,228. For the corresponding period of hist, year, the figures were £2,401,178 and £1,847,582 respectively. For the period of 10 months ended October, 1988, the exports were valued at £84,217,048 and imports tit. £17,578.487, a balance in terms of New Zealand currency, excluding specie, of £12,084,000. For the same period of 1932, tin l figures were £31,087,830, £18,913,281, and £9,514,000 respectively. The values recorded for exports are declared f.o.b. values in terms of New Zealand currency, while the values recorded for imports are current domestic values in the countries of export, plus 10 per cent.
