FRENCH SURTAXES
THREAT BY BRITAIN (Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) LONDON, Nov. 22. The Daily Herald says that Britain sent an ultimatum to France that unless she withdraws her 15 per cent, surtax and 6 per cent, landing tax on British goods, Britain will retaliate with a 21 per cent, impost on French goods.
