Aroused by criticism in a circular distributed in the British House of Commons by Timber Industries, Limited, .against Canadian lumber, I lie British Columbia. Lumber Manufacturers’ Association lias culled a conference at Ottawa. Mr R. B. Bennett has cabled Mr Ferguson to make further representations against a Russian timber deal in which it is alleged that the trade cards were stacked against Canada and the conference treaty ignored.
