i i^™sss==--==^-1 The arrangements made in Gisborne for the entertainment of the officers and crew of 11.M.5. Diomede next week . have met with the full approval of the ■ commander of the vessel, Captain Cosmo Graham, according to a letter i received from Captain Graham to-day. . Regret is expressed, however, that the ; curtailment of the Diomede’s visit to i Gisborne by two days has rendered it ■ impossible to accept the invitation to ! attend the Rotary Club’s luncheon on > Monday, December 4, or the farewell ! dance on the Tuesday evening. Nor 1 would it be possible for representatives from the Diomede to take part, 1 in the Gisborne Boxing Association’s ' tournament arranged for the Monday ' evening, but as the men are keenly j looking forward to this tournament, 5 Captain Graham expresses a hope that . it will be possible to stage the tournament on an earlier date.
