| WINNIPEG, Oct. 12. 1 “I believe,” said Mr Bennett, 1 hi* : Canadian Premier, in a speech here, ‘‘that Canada, like the rest of the world, is on the threshold of recovery, with the British Empire in the van.” Canada’s credit, he said, gauged by the price of Dominion bonds, now stood higher than at any time during the history of the Dominion. , Since August, 1930, the Federal Gov- ' eminent had advanced sums totalling 122,000,000 dollars to the provinces and municipalities for unemployment relief ami other emergency purposes.
