IZR STATION STAFF NOTICE OF DISMISSAL (Per Press Association. ) AUCKLAND, last night. Notice of dismissal, to take effect after December 3, was received by members of the staff of the Government B class radio station 12It from the Post and Telegraph Department. The members of the staff' are Mr. Dudley Wratliall (announcer and director), Mr. T. T. Garland (“Uncle Tom”), Mrs. Basham (“Aunt Daisy”), Mr. W. Hindman (sports announcer), Messrs. C. McCarthy and S. Bottom (operators), and Miss Joyce Wisdom. The notices of dismissal include instructions that no reference to the matter shall be made over the air, and that no farewell messages shall be broadcast to listeners.

“This will be felt keenly, especially by those who have been giving their services free to the station,” commented a member of the staff. “The courtesy of a friendly ‘good-bye’ to listeners would have'beeiL appreciated.” No action lias yet been taken in regard to the “Friendly Road” services conducted by the Rev. J. Scrimegour. There arc about 6000 listeners who arc members of the Friendly Road. The dnivstiv curtailment of the hours the station will ‘lie on the air will also be a' severe blow to listeners.
