MATAWHERO STOCK SALE SMALL SHEEP YARDING Only small yardings of sheep came forward at the stock sale held by the Poverty Bay Stockbrokers’ Association at the Matawhe.ro saleyards to-day. FAT SHEEP Only 96 fat sheep came forward, theso being shorn ewes of good finish. They made, from 10s 3d to i'2s 2d. Prices were : Shorn ewes.—ll at 12s 6d; 30, 10s 9d ; 14, 10s 3d; 18, 11s sd; 16, 12s 2d. STORE SHEEP There were only 250 store sheep offered to a small attendance of the public. DAIRY PRODUCE MARKETS Markets for New Zealand butter and cheese remain weak, although cheese has come in for more inquiry. The top price for Putter remains at 80s, with cheese Is to 2s higher than on advice received yesterday. Messrs. Dalgety and Company have received the following advice from London dated November 23: “Butter.—The market is weak. Quotations: Danish, 116 s to 118 s; New Zealand finest, 77s to 80s; Australian finest, 76s to 80s. Cheese.—There is rather more inquiry this end of the week. Quotations: New Zealand, white 47s to 48s, colored 46s (o 485."
