MATAWHERO STOCK SALE SMALL SHEEP YARDING Only small yardings of sheep came forward at the stock sale held by the Poverty Bay Stockbrokers’ Association at the Matawhe.ro saleyards to-day. FAT SHEEP Only 96 fat sheep came forward, theso being shorn ewes of good finish. They made, from 10s 3d to i'2s 2d. Prices were : Shorn ewes.—ll at 12s 6d; 30, 10s 9d ; 14, 10s 3d; 18, 11s sd; 16, 12s 2d. STORE SHEEP There were only 250 store sheep offered to a small attendance of the public. These few pens sold as follows: Ewes and lambs.—37 shorn ewes with 40 quality heavy lambs, ewes good mouths and condition, 21s 2d; 47 light, old ewes, shorn, 40 fair lambs, 9s Id. Two-tooths, shorn, —17 ewes, fairly good size and condition, 14s 2d; 27 do., we tilers, 37s 7d; 20 ewes, very sappy, 15s sd; 24 wethers, very sappy, 13s sd; 8 fresh conditioned ewes, 13s. Other sorts. —24 shorn 4-tooth wethers, fresh condition, 15s lOd; 16 good order woolly ewes, 12s; 9 woolly ewes and 8 lambs, 21s. PIGS Prices for pigs were.—4 good Berkshire weaners, 16s 6d; 5 rough weaners, 11s; 3 good Berkshire weaners, 16s 3d; 7 rough slips, 14s: 4 good Tamworth cross slips, 18s; 2 good Tamworth slips, 18s 9d and 17s 3d ; 9 rough weaners, 14s 6d; 10 small, rough weaners, 11s 6d and '9s; 6 good sized slips, 17s and 14s 6d; 7 good sized, in good order, stores, 25s and one at 21s 6d; 7 medium sized, good stores, 21s; 4 small stores, rough, 12s 6d; 6 stores, medium size and condition, 15s; 3 stores, rough, 15s; 5 good sized stores, 25s 6d; 7 stores, smaller, 23s 6d and 235; 3 heavy Tamworth porkers, 295; 1 pure-bred liarge White sow, good, in pig, £4 4s; 2 Large White boars, 10 weeks, and 2 Tamworth sows, in pig, 365. DAIRY PRODUCE MARKETS Markets for New Zealand butter and cheese remain weak, although cheese has come in for more inquiry. The top price for Putter remains at 80s, with cheese Is to 2s higher than on advice received yesterday. Messrs. Dalgety and Company have received the following advice from London dated November 23: “Butter.—The market is weak. Quotations: Danish, 116 s to 118 s; New Zealand finest, 77s to 80s; Australian finest, 76s to 80s. Cheese.—There is rather more inquiry this end of the week. Quotations: New Zealand, white 47s to 48s, colored 46s (o 485."
