CANCELLATION OF AWARD
SHOP ASSISTANTS’ DISPUTH (Pnr Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Conciliation Council in the shop assistants’ dispute failed to reach an agreement on the matter of wages, the employers saving that they could not agree to the union’s counter-proposals in regard to juniors. The commissioner announced that if would he his duty to inform the clerk of awards that no agreement was reached, and the award would ho cancelled.
