WELLINGTON WEDDING

BUTLER—GIBSON A quiet wedding was solemnised at St. Peter’s Church, Wellington, on Tuesday afternoon, when Yvonne, only daughter of Mr. W. J. Gibson, and the late Mrs. Gibson, was married to Mr. J. Butler, “Fail-lands,” Cambridge. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming frock., of white satin, trimmed with diamante, and carried a sheaf of white lilies. She was attended by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Austen Gibson, who wore a charming frock of floral ninon, in autumn toning, w'th green picture hat. Mr. Austen Gibson, brother of the bride, acted as best man. Archdeacon lnnes-Jones performed tho ceremony, Mr. 11. W. Short being the organist. A reception, at which only relatives and intimate friends were present, was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Gibson, 17 Clifton terrace. Mr. and Mrs. Butler left later by car for their future home in Cambridge, the bride travelling in a smart beige Angora swagger suit, hat to tone, and brown fox fur, with lizard-skin bag and shoes.
