CHANGE IN TITLE
NEW ZEALAND INSTITUTE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. In explaining the Royal Society ol New Zealand Bill which was read a first time in the House yesterday, the Rt. Ilott. G. W. Forbes said its object was to change the name of the New Zealand Institute*to “Royal Society ol New Zealand.” It was impracticable tu effect this by means of an amendment to the original Act, and consequently the hill abolished the New Zealand institute and constituted in its place the Royal Society of New Zealand.
