SEVEN-DAY WEEK
DAIRY FACTORY WORKERS PROTEST TO MINISTER (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A deputation of the Wellington Creameries, Cheese, and Butter Factory Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers waited on the Minister of Labor yesterday with a request that legislation should be introduced to provide for a six-day week in dairy factories. The Minister promised to give favorable consideration to the deputation's request. It was stated that dairy factory workers were the only section of workers in New Zealand still working seven days a week.
