ALLEGED ESPIONAGE
AIRSHIP OVER FRANCE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) PARIS, Nov. 1. A startling story regarding a foreign airship of the Zeppelin type spying over France is told by a senior military officer in the Petit Journal. He says that on the nights of August 30 and September 1 an airship flew over the artillery works at Salbris and inspected the ground with its searchlight. The airship must have crossed almost one-third of France, it was flying high and was unlighted.
