THEFT AS SERVANT

CLERK FOR SENTENCE (Per Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, tins day. In the Police Court yesterday afternoon, Gordon .Samuel Burk, a clerk, appeared on two indictable charges that being a servant of the city of Invercargill he did steal £ll .10s and £4 9s 2d, both amounts being the property of the city. The accused, who pleaded guilty to both charges, was committed to tho Supreme Court for sentence, bail being renewed.
