LACK OF GUIDANCE
CHURCHMEN’S PROBLEM NEED FOR A LEADER (Elec. Tel. Copyright-—United Press Assn.) (Received November 2, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 1. The Rev. 11. R. L. Sheppard has issued a stirring call to tlie Anglican community, for 10,000 churchmen who are willing to walk with him to Lambeth Palace when the archbishops and bishops of the Empire meet next in order that “we may say in respect and passion how deeply we feel their lack of implicit guidance.” Mr. Sheppard adds that his protest “is against the constant injunction to be patient. Church people will remain crippled in the face of the world’s need until a leader arises who can tell us what are the causes that must be fought for to death, and what are the mere trimmings of religion.”
