ENORMOUS DEFICIT
JAPANESE BUDGET FUNDS FOR ARMAMENTS .(Klee. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) TOKIO 1 , Sept. 12. M. Takuhashi,- Minister of Finance, in a statement to the press, said that the requirements of national defence must have priority in the forthcoming Budget, thereby postponing plans for financial readjustment. This is clearly the result of General Araki’s recent interview.
The extraordinary expenditure on the army and navy is estimated at 800,000,000 yen, and an enormous Budget deficit is inevitable.
