THE “MIGHTY” ATOM

Mr. S. M. Bruce is launching an immediate conversion loan, it is believed, following negotiations with the Treasury. The amount exceeds £15,000,000, which was issued at 6 per cent.
TIIEOIUES DISPROVED
LONDON, Sept. 11. Lord Rutherford, speaking at the British Association, said that though the atom was split into at least 80 constituents, experiments had proved to be moonshine the hopes of those expecting that the splitting would release a mighty energy of nature.
