NEW AUSTRIAN REGIME DEATH ON PARLIAMENT VIENNA, Sept. 12. It is generally expected that Dr. Dollfuss’ declaration is a prelude to a dictatorial regime based on the Italian Fascist system. It is understood that, if the. Austrian Parliament meets again, the delegates will be drawn from a list of candidates prepared by the Government and embracing employers, employees, the professional classes and scientific and other institutions.
His speech, however, somewhat disappointed the extremists, as Dr. Dollfuss never once used the word “Fascism,” which Herr Starhemberg has been trying hard to put into bis mouth in recent weeks. Instead, lie adroitly announced “the deatli of Parliament.”
The probable reason for avoiding an announcement of a full-blooded Fascist dictatorship was that France, has intimated that she cannot support a Fascist Austria.
