ANTARCTIC RESEARCH
BYRD’S EXPEDITION SUPPLY SHIPS READY (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. Advice from Admiral R. E. Byrd states that the Antarctic expedition ships, Pacific' Fir and Bear of Oakland, will leave Boston on September 25 for Dunedin. One hundred dogs will be carried on the Pacific Fir, which will act as supply ship, and is to remain north of the ice pack. The Bear of Oakland will carry supplies from her through the Robs Sea to the base at Little America.
The ships should n*ach Dunedin early in November.
