MURDERED BY NURSE
SHIPPING MAN’S FATE
MEMBER OF N.Z. FAMILY SANTA CRUZ (Calif.), Sept. 9. Mr. Francis Joseph Morgan Grace, sen., 57, a nephew of the late William Grace, the shipping magnate, was shot and killed by a woman who gave the name of Frida Augusta Weltz, who, the police said, was formerly employed as a nurso in the Grace home. The woman had been discharged a year ago, and came here on Saturday and went to the home where Mr. Grace was sitting in a garden with his present nurse. She shot Mr. Grace in the side. Mr. Grace had been retired for many years from business. Acquaintances said that he was a member of the New Zealand branch of tho Grace family, and was formerly connected in an executive capacity with Messrs. W. Grace and Company, a shipping commission concern in San Francisco.
