AUSTRALIAN PLANS EXPEDITION CONDEMNED WILL END IN MASSACRE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Sept. 11, 3 p.m.) IAJNDON, Sept. 11. The Daily Herald heads a Brisbane cablegram: “Australia. Faces Black War.” “Police Push to End in Massacre.” “Missionaries Will Not, be There. ” The cable message states that an armed party is being raced to Groot-o Eylamls. If the Government’s only desire was to defend the mission, it could easily send a flying boat, followed by a destroyer, but this would force it to officially'notice the Japanese fishers’ incursions into tiie aborigines’ reserves and land them in international complication A Tho cable message goes on to suggest that tho Government is under the influence of North Australian whites, whose attitude is: “If shooting makes the aborogines disappear more quickly, only sentimental missionaries will regret ia,” aii’d quotes the declaration of a Port Darwin policeman: “The only good aboriginal is a dead aboriginal."
