MAN DISAPPEARS
DROWNING FEARED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. An unsuccessful search was made throughout, yesterday for Mr. Robert Roberts, a married man, who disappeared from a dinghy in St. Mary’s Bay, Ponsonby, on Friday night. Mr. Roberts, with a companion, rowed out to an anchored launch to efleet engine repairs. As they were hoarding tho launch, an oar of the dinghy floated away. Mr. Itoberts sculled after it with the other oar. 11 is friend, who remained ou the launch, heard a splash. The empty dinghy came ashore later. It is considered that Mr. Roberts was drowned.
