MANY TROOPS SENT INCIDENT IN AUSTRIA NAZIS RELEASE PRISONER (Elec. T«l. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Aug. 31, noon.) VIENNA, Aug. 30. Pretending that they were bringing another prisoner, several disguised Austrian Nazis entered the cell of Franz llofer, a Nazi leader, at Innsbruck goal, and released him after stunning two warders.
All escaped in a waiting car, which was pursued by.a policeman who fired several shots, and wounded one passenger, after which the Nazis proceeded afoot, apparently attempting to reach Italy by unfrequented mountain passes. ; The alarm was given throughout the Tyrol.
