Touching- on the proposal to‘sfaehd a considerable sum of money in advertising * New Zealand’s dairy produce at Home, Mr. S. M. Smith, cnairmdrt of the Rongokokako Co-operative Cheese Company, Eketahuna, said advertising was a very necessary item. In view of some of fcne reports which had reached the Dominion, however, h© was inclined to the opinion that the money Would he better spent in improving the quality of the produce. Advertising was/certainly a good thing for a good product ■ and no business could be successful without it, but lie did not consider, it so good for an inferior product.
