LONDON BUTTER MARKET HIGHEST POINT OF YEAR New Zealand butter in London has improved in price again, and has touched the highest level of the year; in fact, the market quotations received to-day arc the highest since November IS last, when exceptional quality was selling at 94s per cwt. after a sharp decline.

During tjn! latest upw&rd movement, quotation's rose to 92s ippr cwt., but at the close of last week the market .began to weaken slightly, and the prices quoted at one stage wore from 90s to 91s. On to-day’s advice, a2s improvement has occurred on this figure,making the f.o.b. value in New Zealand about 193 d per lb. Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Company report, to-day as follows:—“Rutter is firm at 92s to 935. Cheese, white 475, colored 50s; the market is quiet: ibilt firm.” The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received the following cablegram from London dated August 30“ Rutter, 925; the market is firm. Cheese, white, 47s 6d to 465; colored, 50s to 51s; the market is very slow."

Butter has gone up in sympathy with the increase in -London parity. First grade butter has been raised from 10jjd -per lb. to Is, while finest butter has been increased Id -per lb. to Is Id.
