CANADA’S GRIEVANCE CABINET TO MEET (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Proxß Assn.) (Received Aug. 30, .1 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 29. A special Cabinet meeting has been convened for September 9, for which the Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, is returning from Lossiemouth. It is believed that the meeting is being held in connection with Mr. R. B. Bennett’s invocation of Article 21 of the .Anglo-Canadian Ottawa Agreement: covering n tribunal to investigate the grievance of Canada over Britain’s imports of Russian timber.
This article was inserted at Mr. Bennett’s request, and was aimed at 'the Soviet’s allegedly slave-produced timber, the importation of which it was desired should bo reduced by one-half.
