SERIOUS INJURIES
HUSBAND AND WIFE RAZOR ANI) HAMMER USED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Early this morning a doctor who called at a houso in Grange road, Mount Eden, found John Shaw Gordon, 68, with a wound in his throat, and his wife, 'Nellie Gordon, 65, suffering from severe head injuries. Both were removed to hospital. It was reported at noon that the wife was expected to recover. The man’s condition was critical. The injuries to the couple are believed to have been inflicted \ritli a razor and a hammer.
