TARIFF REVISION
COMMISSION’S REPORT . (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Owing to the impossibility of the Tariff Commission presenting its report in time to permit of tariff revision being carried out during the coming session, the Government is considering the question of commencing next year's session in February or March, which would enable a revision to be effected with a minimum of delay.
The Tariff Commission will open at Dunedin on September 6, and Christ church will bo visited later. Under its order of reference the commission is required to report by September 30. That would now seem to be impracticable and it is expected that an extension will be gazetted shortly. The commission’s proceedings opened at Wellington on June 7
