TROUBLE WITH ENGINES
PT, FREMANTLE DELAYED (Per Preis Association.) ’ WELLINGTON, this day. Owing to trouble which was discovered in connection with the starboard engine of the Port Fremantle, the vessel has been delayed l and now leaves here on Thursday morning for Australia. She arrived here from New York, via Auckland, last Thursday. In the ordinary course of events the ship would, have gone to Brisbane before Sydney, but owing to the engine trouble will go. direct to Sydney, where repairs will be effected. Tho trouble could be repaired here, 'but she has cargo for Australian consignees. She will cross the Tasman Sea on the port engine alone.
