The Daily Telegraph’s Moscow; correspondent says thousands of children have been enrolled in agricultural areas as auxiliary police to track down grain thieves and people damaging crops. It is officially stated that 4000 young Communists are thus engaged in the North Caucasus alone.
A typical report in Lire journal of the Commissariat of Agriculture roads: “A party of hoys and girls caught women cutting the earsi of wheat with scissors.”
