The residue of the estate of Mrs. Maria James, who died in Christchurch last December, has been bequeathed under her will to the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church, Christchurch, to be devoted to missionary work in Bengal, India, where the New Zealand Baptist Missionary Society operates. It is estimated that the amount which ultimately will he available will lie approximately £I2OO.
