THE CENSOR CRITICISED LONDON. April 11. The News-Chronicle, in a leading article, says “'(lie Commonwealth film tensor, Mr, Cresivell O’Reilly, is entitled to his opinion, especially as it flatters British filliis, but we are puzzled to learn that there are Still too many bath scenes and too much bedroom farce. “If the mild British incursion into this dubious territory, shocks Mr. O’Reilly, w!iat ill the world would he say about American films?” An official of British International Pictures told, a reporter .that it differs from Mr. O’Reilly that British films show too many bathroom scenes and too much bedroom fa ire. Only three or four out of 60 pictures feature such scenes, The popularity of British films, in Australia testified In their higher standard.
