3074 PERFORMANCES OF WORKS VIENNA, Feb. 17. In connection with the Richard Wagner Festival, which has just started with a performance of “Parsifal,” it is interesting to note that since the first production here of a Wagner opera in 1858—that is 75 years ago—no fewer than 3074 performances of his works have been given at the Vienna Opera House, now called the State Opera House. . “Lohengrin” has been given wl times, “Tannhauser” 476, “The Mastersingers” 388, “The Flying Dutchman 368, “The Valkyrie” 377, “Tristan and Isolde” 204, “Siegfried” 195, “Gotterdammerung” 179., “Rhinegold’ 176, “Rienzi” 109, and “Parsifal," produced in Vienna for the first time in ISI4 (when the rights of production became independent of Bayreuth), 101.
