A trying experience befell a young couple who spent a night in the bush in the back country at Lake Tarawera. Mr. It- F. Snow left llotorim on Sunday afternoon on a motor-cycle, accompanied by Miss D. Adolph with the intention of meeting the latter’s father, who was returning from deer stalking at Tarawera. Arriving at the lake they crossed over in a dinghy and experienced a head wind and a strenuous trip. They were overtaken by darkness and having ho food or matches suffered from cold and liu'dger. A search party found them next day.
