MONTREAL SENSATION
ART TREASURES STOLEN (Received April 19, 3 p.m.) MONTREAL, April 18. Sixteen paintings valued at £4OOO were slashed from their frames at the spring art exhibition at the Montreal Art Gallery during Monday night, and carried away by unknown thieves who entered through a broken window without the knowledge of the watchman.
