GOOD AMATEUR ROUND BEST ON LOCAL COURSE A particularly good round was played on the Poverty Bay Golf Club’s course this morning by A. B. Barus-Graham, who did the 18 holes in 71, or three under the scratch score. This is better than any previous amateur round iu the memory of club officials. On ' the outward journey, BarnsGraham took 34 strokes, against the scratch score of 36, while the remaining nine holes were played in 37, one below the scratch score. Bavns-Graham’s handicap is four. The score card reads as follows, the scratch score being given in parentheses: Out, 5 (5). 3 (3), 3 (4). 3 (3), 5 (4), 4 (4), 4 (4), 4 (5), 3 (4). total 34 (36) ; in, 5 (4), 2 (3), 6 (5), 5 (4). 4 (4), 4 (5), 3 (4), 5 (5), 4 (4), total 37 (38); grand total, 71 (74).
