At the close of section play in connection..with the annual Burton Cup tournament last evening, rinks from the three town clubs held the leading' positions in the respective sections, and much interest centred in the semifinal and final games, set down for to-day. Owing to two rinks having tied in each of two sections, the semifinals were played in two divisions, Morse’s .kahutia rink, meeting Stephenson's Gisborne rink in the first, and the winner of this game meeting McGibbon’s Poverty Bay four later in the morning; while Craig, of Gisborne, and Martin, of Kahutia, were to play off for the privilege of meeting the survivor of the other division, during the afternoon.
