THE WEATHER

(To-day’s North Island Report) Blue skies were reported this morning between Castlepoint and Opotiki, but overcast conditions prevailed elsewhere. Moderate to strong north-west-erlv breezes were reported south of JiAst Cape and light south-westerlies further north. The barometer showed little movement. Temperatures at 9 o’clock were: Auckland 65 degrees, Tauranga and Gisborne 64, Napier 66, East Capo 59, Opotiki, 57, and Wellington 60. Bough seas were reported at Cape Campbell and Napier,; elsewhere moderate or smooth.
